I am a photographer based in northern New Mexico, specializing in landscapes, weather, and night sky photography. My passion for photography began in childhood as I poured over photo books and National Geographic magazine. When my parents gave me an Olympus OM-2 camera more than 40 years ago, I was instantly hooked. I’ve carried a camera ever since.

After spending many years away, I returned to New Mexico in 1999 and became serious about refining my photographic skills. The expansive landscapes, dynamic weather, and deep black night skies create a combination that is truly unmatched anywhere else in the country. I also enjoy traveling throughout the United States to capture other remarkable landscapes — from the Desert Southwest and the Pacific Northwest to the Northeast and the oceans beyond.

Over the years, I’ve developed an appreciation for many forms of art, including classical painting, portraiture, abstract work, sculpture, music, and architecture. Each has influenced my approach to photography and shaped the way I see and compose an image. When I’m out shooting, I’m always searching for specific elements — light, mood, balance, and emotion. My goal is to create images that evoke a sense of wonder and offer a fresh perspective on the beauty of the world around us.

Prints are available in the “Print Shop” section of this site and can be ordered in a variety of mediums, including fine art paper, metal, and acrylic.
