NEOWISE
It's not every day you see a comet. That's why I've been waking up at 3:00 am the past three mornings to try to photograph this one. I didn't have much luck my first two attempts because of clouds. This morning was perfect.
Comet NEOWISE, named after the satellite that first discovered it last March, is one of the brightest comets to visit us in the past 25 years. You can see it in the NE sky for the next few mornings then it should be visible after sunset in the NW sky for the remainder of the month. It's now heading back to deep space after reaching its closest point to the sun last week. It won't be back for another 6800 years.
